Both the Mustang Mach-E and Vistiq have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Mustang Mach-E has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Vistiq’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

The Mustang Mach-E has standard Post Collision Braking, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Both the Mustang Mach-E and the Vistiq have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E (built after August 2024) has achieved the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) highest rating of “Top Safety Pick Plus” for the 2024 model year. This distinction is based on its exceptional performance in IIHS’ rigorous battery of safety tests. Specifically, it earned a “Good” rating in the latest, more stringent moderate overlap front crash test, a “Good” result in the updated side impact test, and a “Good” score in the revised pedestrian crash prevention test. The Vistiq has not yet been evaluated by the IIHS for 2024.

There are over 5 times as many Ford dealers as there are Cadillac dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Mustang Mach-E’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Ford vehicles are better in initial quality than Cadillac vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Ford above average in initial quality. With 35 more problems per 100 vehicles, Cadillac is rated below average.

The Mustang Mach-E GT Performance/Rally’s standard electric motors produces 50 lbs.-ft. more torque (700 vs. 650) than the Vistiq’s electric motors.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1350 to 1950 pounds less than the Cadillac Vistiq.

The Mustang Mach-E Select/Premium is 1 foot, 8 inches shorter than the Vistiq, making the Mustang Mach-E easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Mustang Mach-E is 5.7 inches narrower than the Vistiq, making the Mustang Mach-E easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The Mustang Mach-E is 7.5 inches shorter in height than the Vistiq, making the Mustang Mach-E much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The front grille of the Mustang Mach-E uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Vistiq doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Mustang Mach-E has a much larger cargo volume than the Vistiq with its rear seat up (29.7 vs. 15.2 cubic feet).

In case you lock your keys in your vehicle, or don’t have them with you, you can let yourself in using the Mustang Mach-E’s exterior PIN entry system. The Vistiq doesn’t offer an exterior PIN entry system, and its OnStar® can’t unlock the doors if the vehicle doesn’t have cell phone reception or the driver can’t contact the service.

The Mustang Mach-E is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
