To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Mustang has standard Cross Traffic Alert and Cross Traffic Braking automatically engages the brakes to help avoid a collision. Maserati charges extra for Rear Cross Path on the GranCabrio Foglore and the GranCabrio Foglore’s Rear Cross Path does not include automatic braking.

Both the Mustang and the GranCabrio Foglore have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

Ford’s powertrain warranty covers the Mustang 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Maserati covers the GranCabrio Foglore. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the GranCabrio Foglore ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

The Mustang’s corrosion warranty is 1 year and unlimited miles longer than the GranCabrio Foglore’s (5/unlimited vs. 4/50,000).
