Compare the2023 Bugatti Chiron VS 2023 McLaren Artura

The Chiron has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Artura doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Chiron’s blind spot camera is used to display a wide-angle view of the passenger side of the road. The Artura doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

Both the Chiron and the Artura have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding and daytime running lights.

The Bugatti Chiron weighs 895 to 1095 pounds more than the McLaren Artura. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The Chiron’s standard 8.0 turbo 16-cylinder produces 808 more horsepower (1479 vs. 671) and 649 lbs.-ft. more torque (1180 vs. 531) than the Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid. The Chiron Super Sport’s standard 8.0 turbo 16-cylinder produces 907 more horsepower (1578 vs. 671) and 649 lbs.-ft. more torque (1180 vs. 531) than the Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid.

The Chiron has 9 gallons more fuel capacity than the Artura (26.4 vs. 17.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

All wheel drive, available in the Chiron, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The McLaren Artura is not available with all wheel drive.

For better stopping power the Chiron’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Artura:

The Chiron has standard air brakes, which adjust the spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The Artura doesn’t offer air brakes.

For better traction, the Chiron has larger tires than the Artura (F:285/30R20 & R:355/25R21 vs. F:235/35R19 & R:295/35R20).

The Chiron’s 285/30R20 front and 355/25R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Artura’s standard 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Chiron has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Only 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are available on the Artura.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Chiron’s wheelbase is 2.8 inches longer than on the Artura (106.7 inches vs. 103.9 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Chiron is 3.9 inches wider in the front and 1.9 inches wider in the rear than on the Artura.

The Chiron’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Artura does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Chiron’s power mirror controls are mounted on the door for easy access. The Artura’s power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.

To help keep the driver’s hands on the wheel, the Chiron has standard steering wheel controls for the radio. The Artura doesn’t offer steering wheel audio controls.
