The Chiron has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The 720S doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.
The Chiron’s blind spot camera is used to display a wide-angle view of the passenger side of the road. The 720S doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.
Both the Chiron and the 720S have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.
The Bugatti Chiron weighs 951 to 1259 pounds more than the McLaren 720S. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.
