Compare the2023 Bugatti ChironVS 2022 Acura NSX

The Chiron has a standard 360 degree parking monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The NSX only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

Both the Chiron and the NSX have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

The Chiron’s standard 8.0 turbo 16-cylinder produces 879 more horsepower (1479 vs. 600) and 688 lbs.-ft. more torque (1180 vs. 492) than the NSX’s 3.5 turbo V6 hybrid. The Chiron Super Sport’s standard 8.0 turbo 16-cylinder produces 978 more horsepower (1578 vs. 600) and 688 lbs.-ft. more torque (1180 vs. 492) than the NSX’s 3.5 turbo V6 hybrid.

As tested in Car and Driver the Bugatti Chiron 8.0 is faster than the Acura NSX:

The Chiron has 10.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the NSX (26.4 vs. 15.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the Chiron’s brake rotors are larger than those on the NSX:

The Chiron has standard air brakes, which adjust the spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The NSX doesn’t offer air brakes.

For better traction, the Chiron has larger tires than the NSX (F:285/30R20 & R:355/25R21 vs. F:245/35R19 & R:305/30R20).

The Chiron’s 285/30R20 front and 355/25R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the NSX’s standard 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Chiron has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Only 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are available on the NSX.

The Chiron has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Chiron’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The NSX doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Chiron’s wheelbase is 3.2 inches longer than on the NSX (106.7 inches vs. 103.5 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Chiron is 3.4 inches wider in the front and .9 inches wider in the rear than on the NSX.

The Chiron Sport handles at 1.06 G’s, while the NSX Type S pulls only .99 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

When three different drivers share the Chiron, the optional memory seats make it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position. The NSX doesn’t offer memory seats.

The Chiron’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The NSX does not have an oil pressure gauge.
