To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Chiron. But it costs extra on the R8.
The Chiron has a standard 360 degree parking monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The R8 only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.
The Chiron’s blind spot camera is used to display a wide-angle view of the passenger side of the road. The R8 doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.
Both the Chiron and the R8 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.
