Safety

The Lamborghini Temerario has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The 849 Testarossa doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Both the Temerario and 849 Testarossa offer rear cross-traffic warning, but the Temerario with Rear Cross Traffic Alert also has Rear Cross Traffic Alert (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The 849 Testarossa’s rear cross-traffic warning doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Temerario and the 849 Testarossa have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all-wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, blind spot warning systems and around view monitors.

Warranty

The Temerario’s corrosion warranty is 9 years longer than the 849 Testarossa’s (12 vs. 3 years).

Tires and Wheels

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Temerario has standard 21-inch rear wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the 849 Testarossa.

Suspension and Handling

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Temerario is 1.7 inches wider in the front than on the 849 Testarossa.

Cargo Capacity

The Temerario Coupe has a larger trunk than the 849 Testarossa Coupe (4 vs. 3 cubic feet).

Ergonomics

The Lamborghini Temerario has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located for the driver. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Ferrari charges extra for Homelink® on the 849 Testarossa.
