2027 Aston Martin Valen2026 Lamborghini Temerario

Safety

The Lamborghini Temerario has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Valen doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Temerario has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Valen doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Temerario and Valen offer rear cross-traffic warning, but the Temerario with Rear Cross Traffic Alert also has Rear Cross Traffic Alert (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The Valen’s rear cross-traffic warning doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Temerario and the Valen have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, blind spot warning systems and around view monitors.

Warranty

The Temerario’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the Valen’s (12 vs. 10 years).

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Temerario for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Aston Martin doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Valen.

Engine

The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 70 more horsepower (908 vs. 838) than the Valen’s 5.2 turbo V12.

Fuel Economy and Range

Regenerative brakes improve the Temerario’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Valen doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

Transmission and Drivetrain

The Temerario offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The Valen doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

All-wheel drive, available in the Temerario, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all-wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Aston Martin Valen is not available with all-wheel drive.

Suspension and Handling

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Temerario is 1.7 inches wider in the front than on the Valen.

Chassis

The Temerario is 6.4 inches shorter than the Valen, making the Temerario easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
