2026 Maserati MCPura2027 Lamborghini Revuelto

Safety

The Lamborghini Revuelto has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The MCPura doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Revuelto offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The MCPura doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Revuelto’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The MCPura doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

Both the Revuelto and MCPura offer rear cross-traffic warning, but the Revuelto with Rear Cross Traffic Alert also has Rear Cross Traffic Alert (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The MCPura’s Rear Cross Path doesn’t automatically brake.

The Revuelto’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The MCPura doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Revuelto and the MCPura have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, blind spot warning systems and around view monitors.

The Lamborghini Revuelto weighs 468 to 655 pounds more than the Maserati MCPura. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

Warranty

The Revuelto comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The MCPura’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Revuelto’s corrosion warranty is 8 years and unlimited miles longer than the MCPura’s (12/unlimited vs. 4/50,000).

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Revuelto for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Maserati doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the MCPura.

Engine

The Revuelto’s standard 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 380 more horsepower (1001 vs. 621) and 506 lbs.-ft. more torque (1044 vs. 538) than the MCPura’s standard 3.0 turbo V6. The Revuelto’s 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 370 more horsepower (1001 vs. 631) and 506 lbs.-ft. more torque (1044 vs. 538) than the MCPura GT2 Stradale’s standard 3.0 turbo V6. The Revuelto SV’s standard 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 419 more horsepower (1050 vs. 631) and 513 lbs.-ft. more torque (1051 vs. 538) than the MCPura GT2 Stradale’s standard 3.0 turbo V6.

As tested in Car and Driver the Lamborghini Revuelto (base engine) is faster than the Maserati MCPura 3.0:

Fuel Economy and Range

On the EPA test cycle the Revuelto running on electricity gets better mileage than the MCPura 3.0 turbo V6 (21 city/24 hwy MPGe vs. 15 city/25 hwy).

The Revuelto can travel with zero emissions for 5 miles. The MCPura can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

Regenerative brakes improve the Revuelto’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The MCPura doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Revuelto’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The MCPura doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The Revuelto has 6.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the MCPura (22.5 vs. 15.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

Drivetrain

All-wheel drive, available in the Revuelto, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all-wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Maserati MCPura is not available with all-wheel drive.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the Revuelto’s brake rotors are larger than those on the MCPura:

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Revuelto has larger standard tires than the MCPura (F:265/35R20 & R:345/30R21 vs. F:245/35R20 & R:305/30R20). The Revuelto’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the MCPura (F:265/30R21 & R:355/25R22 vs. F:245/35R20 & R:305/30R20).

The Revuelto’s optional 265/30R21 front and 355/25R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the MCPura’s 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Revuelto has standard 21-inch rear wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the MCPura. The Revuelto offers optional 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Revuelto can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The MCPura doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

Suspension and Handling

The Revuelto offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Maserati doesn’t offer an active suspension on the MCPura.

The Revuelto has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Revuelto’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The MCPura doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Revuelto’s wheelbase is 3.1 inches longer than on the MCPura (109.4 inches vs. 106.3 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Revuelto is 1.5 inches wider in the front and 2.1 inches wider in the rear than on the MCPura.

The Revuelto’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (43.7% to 56.3%) than the MCPura’s (40% to 60%). This gives the Revuelto more stable handling and braking.

The Revuelto handles at 1.10 G’s, while the MCPura Coupe pulls only 1.08 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

Ergonomics

The Revuelto’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The MCPura has neither an oil pressure gauge nor a temperature gauge.

The Revuelto’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The MCPura’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Revuelto has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The MCPura doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Revuelto also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

The Revuelto’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The MCPura’s power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.
