2027 Aston Martin Valen2027 Lamborghini Revuelto

Safety

The Lamborghini Revuelto has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Valen doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Revuelto offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Valen doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Revuelto and Valen offer rear cross-traffic warning, but the Revuelto with Rear Cross Traffic Alert also has Rear Cross Traffic Alert (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The Valen’s rear cross-traffic warning doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Revuelto and the Valen have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras, driver alert monitors, available crash mitigating brakes, blind spot warning systems and around view monitors.

Warranty

The Revuelto’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the Valen’s (12 vs. 10 years).

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Revuelto for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Aston Martin doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Valen.

Engine

The Revuelto’s standard 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 163 more horsepower (1001 vs. 838) and 306 lbs.-ft. more torque (1044 vs. 738) than the Valen’s 5.2 turbo V12. The Revuelto SV’s standard 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 212 more horsepower (1050 vs. 838) and 313 lbs.-ft. more torque (1051 vs. 738) than the Valen’s 5.2 turbo V12.

Fuel Economy and Range

Regenerative brakes improve the Revuelto’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Valen doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Revuelto has almost a gallon more fuel capacity than the Valen (22.5 vs. 21.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

Transmission and Drivetrain

The Revuelto offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The Valen doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

All-wheel drive, available in the Revuelto, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all-wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Aston Martin Valen is not available with all-wheel drive.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the Revuelto SV’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Valen:

Tires and Wheels

For better traction and acceleration, the Revuelto has larger standard rear tires than the Valen (345/30R21 vs. 325/30R21). The Revuelto’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Valen (355/25R22 vs. 325/30R21).

The Revuelto’s optional 265/30R21 front and 355/25R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Valen’s 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Revuelto offers optional 22-inch rear wheels. The Valen’s largest wheels are only 21-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Revuelto can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Valen doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

Suspension and Handling

The Revuelto offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Aston Martin doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Valen.

The Revuelto has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Revuelto’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Valen doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Revuelto is 1.6 inches wider in the front and 1.3 inches wider in the rear than on the Valen.

Cargo Capacity

With its coupe body style and valet key, the Revuelto offers cargo security. The Valen’s hatchback body style defeats cargo security.
