Compare the2027 Lamborghini Revuelto VS 2027 Chevrolet Corvette

2027 Chevrolet Corvette2027 Lamborghini Revuelto

Safety

The Lamborghini Revuelto has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Corvette doesn’t offer knee airbags.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the Revuelto. But it costs extra on the Corvette.

The Revuelto offers an optional 360 degree parking monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Corvette only offers a rear monitor and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the front or sides.

Both the Revuelto and Corvette offer Rear Cross Traffic Alert, but the Revuelto with Rear Cross Traffic Alert also has automatic rear cross-traffic braking (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The Corvette’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert doesn’t automatically brake.

The Revuelto’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Corvette doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Revuelto and the Corvette have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes and blind spot warning systems.

Warranty

The Revuelto comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Corvette’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Revuelto’s corrosion warranty is 6 years and unlimited miles longer than the Corvette’s (12/unlimited vs. 6/100,000).

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Revuelto for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Chevrolet only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Corvette.

Reliability

For smoother operation, better efficiency and fewer moving parts, the engines in the Revuelto have an overhead cam design, rather than the old pushrod design of some of the engines in the Corvette.

The Revuelto can travel with zero emissions for 5 miles. The Corvette can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Revuelto’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Corvette doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The Revuelto has 4 gallons more fuel capacity than the Corvette (22.5 vs. 18.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the Revuelto’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Corvette:

Front Rotors

16.1 inches

12.6 inches

Rear Rotors

15.4 inches

13.3 inches

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Revuelto has larger standard tires than the Corvette (F:265/35R20 & R:345/30R21 vs. F:245/35R19 & R:305/30R20).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Revuelto has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Smaller 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are standard on the Corvette. The Revuelto’s optional 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels are larger than the 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels on the Corvette Z06/Grand Sport/ZR1.

Suspension and Handling

The Revuelto offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Chevrolet doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Corvette.

The Revuelto has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Revuelto’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Corvette doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Revuelto’s wheelbase is 2.4 inches longer than on the Corvette (109.4 inches vs. 107 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Revuelto is 2.1 inches wider in the front and 2.8 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the Corvette.

The Revuelto’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (43.7% to 56.3%) than the Corvette’s (41.6% to 58.4%). This gives the Revuelto more stable handling and braking.

Chassis

As tested by Car and Driver, the interior of the Revuelto is quieter than the Corvette Z06 Z07 Coupe:

Cargo Capacity

A low lift-over trunk design makes loading and unloading the Revuelto easier. The Revuelto’s trunk lift-over height is 21 inches, while the Corvette’s liftover is 38.7 inches.

With its coupe body style and valet key, the Revuelto offers cargo security. The Corvette’s non-lockable remote release defeats cargo security.

Ergonomics

If the windows are left open on the Revuelto the driver can close all of them at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Corvette can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Revuelto’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Corvette’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Revuelto has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Corvette doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Revuelto also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

The Lamborghini Revuelto has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors costs extra on the Corvette.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Revuelto offers an optional Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Corvette doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.
