The Amalfi has a standard blind spot warning system that uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. A system to reveal vehicles in the 911’s blind spot costs extra.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Amalfi has standard rear cross-path warning, helping the driver avoid collisions. Porsche charges extra for Rear Cross Traffic Alert on the 911.

Both the Amalfi and the 911 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems and rearview cameras.

The Amalfi comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The 911’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Amalfi for 6 years and unlimited miles longer than Porsche pays for maintenance for the 911 (7/unlimited vs. 1/10,000).

The Amalfi’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 243 more horsepower (631 vs. 388) and 230 lbs.-ft. more torque (561 vs. 331) than the 911’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The Amalfi’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 158 more horsepower (631 vs. 473) and 171 lbs.-ft. more torque (561 vs. 390) than the 911 S’ standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The Amalfi’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 129 more horsepower (631 vs. 502) and 230 lbs.-ft. more torque (561 vs. 331) than the 911 GT3’s standard 4.0 DOHC 6-cylinder.

The Amalfi has 4.5 gallons more fuel capacity than the 911’s standard fuel tank (21.1 vs. 16.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the Amalfi’s standard brake rotors are larger than those on the 911:

For better traction, the Amalfi has larger front tires than the 911 (245/35R20 vs. 235/40R19).

The Amalfi Coupe has a much larger trunk than the 911 Coupe with its rear seat up (9.6 vs. 4.8 cubic feet).

Pressing a button automatically lowers the Amalfi’s rear seats, to make changing between passengers and cargo easier. The 911 doesn’t offer automatic folding seats.

If the windows are left open on the Amalfi the driver can close all of them from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the 911 can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Amalfi has a standard Keyless Entry and Ignition that allows you to unlock the doors from either outside door handle, open the trunk, and start the engine, all without removing the key from pocket or purse. The 911 GT3 doesn’t offer Comfort Access.
