Both the Purosangue and AMG GLE have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Purosangue has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The AMG GLE’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

The Purosangue’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the AMG GLE.

Both the Purosangue and the AMG GLE have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all-wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The Purosangue comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The AMG GLE’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Purosangue for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Mercedes doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the AMG GLE.

The Purosangue’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 286 more horsepower (715 vs. 429) and 115 lbs.-ft. more torque (528 vs. 413) than the AMG GLE 53’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder hybrid. The Purosangue’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 112 more horsepower (715 vs. 603) than the AMG GLE 63 S’ standard 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

The Purosangue has 3.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the AMG GLE (26.4 vs. 22.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Purosangue offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The AMG GLE doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

For better traction and acceleration, the Purosangue has larger rear tires than the AMG GLE (315/30R23 vs. 275/50R20).

The Purosangue’s 255/35R22 front and 315/30R23 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the AMG GLE’s standard 50 series tires. The Purosangue’s tires are lower profile than the AMG GLE’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Purosangue has standard 22-inch front and 23-inch rear wheels. Smaller 20-inch wheels are standard on the AMG GLE. The AMG GLE’s largest wheels are only 22-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires optional on the Purosangue can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The AMG GLE doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Purosangue is 2 inches wider in the front than the average track on the AMG GLE.

For better maneuverability, the ’s turning circle is 39.4 feet tighter than the AMG GLE’s ( feet vs. 39.4 feet).

The Ferrari Purosangue may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 450 to 700 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG GLE.

The Purosangue is 7.6 inches shorter in height than the AMG GLE, making the Purosangue much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The Purosangue’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The AMG GLE does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Purosangue’s power side reverse swing out doors make it much easier to load and unload kids and cargo. One touch opens the door, before you even get to the sport utility. The AMG GLE doesn’t offer a power rear door.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Purosangue has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The AMG GLE doesn’t offer headlight washers.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the Purosangue’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The AMG GLE doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats for the second row.

Both the Purosangue and the AMG GLE offer optional massaging front seats. The Purosangue also offers optional massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging second row seats aren’t available in the AMG GLE.
