The EX60’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Vistiq doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Volvo EX60’s standard multi-adaptive safety belts scans passenger size, crash angle, speed, and severity and adjusts load-limiters to 11 different settings to prevent head injuries in larger adults, and rib injuries in smaller passengers and less severe crashes. The system even performs over-the-air updates to improve its performance over time. The Vistiq only uses fixed-force load-limiters.

The Volvo EX60 offers optional built in child booster seats. They’re more crash worthy than an added child seat because of their direct attachment to the seat. Cadillac doesn’t offer the convenience and security of a built-in child booster seat in the Vistiq. Their owners must carry a heavy booster seat in and out of the vehicle; EX60 owners can just fold their built-in child seat up or down.

The EX60 has a standard Whiplash Protection System, which use a specially designed seat to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. During a rear-end collision, the Whiplash Protection System allows the backrest to travel backwards to cushion the occupants and the headrests move forward to prevent neck and spine injuries. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

The EX60 has standard Post-impact braking, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the EX60’s standard Hill Descent Control allows you to creep down safely. The Vistiq doesn’t offer Hill Descent Control.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The EX60 has Connected Safety, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from other vehicles.

Both the EX60 and the Vistiq have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, front seat center airbag, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The EX60’s corrosion warranty is 6 years longer than the Vistiq’s (12 vs. 6 years).

Volvo pays for scheduled maintenance on the EX60 for 2 years and 20,000 miles. Volvo will pay for tire rotations, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Cadillac only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Vistiq.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2026 Auto Issue reports that Volvo vehicles are more reliable than Cadillac vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Volvo 3 places higher in reliability than Cadillac.

The EX60 P12’s standard electric motors produces 55 more horsepower (670 vs. 615) than the Vistiq’s electric motors.

For better maneuverability, the EX60’s turning circle is 1.1 feet tighter than the Vistiq Premium Luxury/Platinum’s (37.1 feet vs. 38.2 feet). The EX60’s turning circle is 3.9 feet tighter than the Vistiq’s (37.1 feet vs. 41 feet).

The Volvo EX60 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1300 to 1650 pounds less than the Cadillac Vistiq.

The EX60 is 1 foot, 4.5 inches shorter than the Vistiq, making the EX60 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The EX60 is 6.6 inches shorter in height than the Vistiq, making the EX60 much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The design of the Volvo EX60 amounts to more than styling. The EX60 has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .26 Cd. That is lower than the Vistiq (.29) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the EX60 get better fuel mileage.

The front grille of the EX60 uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Vistiq doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The EX60 has .1 inches more front headroom and 1.6 inches more rear headroom than the Vistiq.

The EX60 has a much larger cargo volume than the Vistiq with its rear seat up (18.5 vs. 15.2 cubic feet).

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the EX60 to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Vistiq doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The EX60 Ultra has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Vistiq doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Vistiq’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The EX60’s standard adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

The EX60 is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.

The Volvo EX60/XC60 outsold the Cadillac Vistiq by over five to one during 2025.
