Compare the2027 Infiniti QX65VS 2026 Mazda CX-70

The QX65’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The CX-70 doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Infiniti QX65 are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Mazda CX-70 has only front height-adjustable seat belts.

The QX65 Autograph offers an optional front seat center airbag, which deploys between the driver and front passenger, protecting them from injuries caused by striking each other in serious side impacts. The CX-70 doesn’t offer front seat center airbags.

Both the QX65 and the CX-70 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The QX65 comes with a full 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The CX-70’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 24,000 miles sooner.

Infiniti’s powertrain warranty covers the QX65 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Mazda covers the CX-70. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the CX-70 ends after only 5 years or 60,000 miles.

The QX65’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the CX-70’s (7 vs. 5 years).

Infiniti pays for scheduled maintenance on the QX65 for 3 years and 22500 miles. Infiniti will pay for oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Mazda doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the CX-70.

The QX65 has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The CX-70 doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Infiniti QX65, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the CX-70.

For better stopping power the QX65’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the CX-70:

The QX65’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the CX-70 PHEV’s standard 55 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the QX65 has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the CX-70 PHEV.

The QX65 has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The CX-70 doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The QX65 uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The CX-70 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The QX65 has .9 inches more front headroom, 2.5 inches more front legroom, 2.2 inches more front hip room, 1.5 inches more front shoulder room, 1.4 inches more rear hip room and 1.6 inches more rear shoulder room than the CX-70.

A standard locking glovebox (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the QX65. The CX-70 doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The QX65’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the CX-70’s (6000 vs. 3500 pounds).

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Infiniti service is better than Mazda. J.D. Power ranks Infiniti 7th in service department satisfaction (above the industry average). With a 5% lower rating, Mazda is ranked 10th.

The QX65’s standard Infiniti Intelligent Key allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the cargo door, and start the engine, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Advanced Keyless Entry and Start standard on the CX-70 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

The QX65’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The CX-70’s power window (except driver window) switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

The Infiniti QX65 has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are only offered on the CX-70 Premium.

The QX65 has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the CX-70 PHEV SC Plus/Turbo/Turbo S.

The QX65 Autograph has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the CX-70.

The Infiniti QX65 has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the rear view mirror. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Homelink® is only available on the CX-70 Premium.

Compared to traditional radio, the Infiniti QX65’s standard SiriusXM satellite radio provides an unmatched listening experience. Its extensive coverage guarantees consistent, crystal-clear reception across the continental U.S., and access to over 100 channels dedicated to a multitude of genres, including music, news, sports, talk shows, and comedy, many with only limited commercial breaks. Satellite radio is only offered on the CX-70 Premium.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Infiniti QX65 has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Only the CX-70 Turbo/Turbo S offers wireless charging.
