For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Infiniti QX65 are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Genesis GV80 Coupe has only front height-adjustable seat belts.

The Infiniti QX65 has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

Both the QX65 and the GV80 Coupe have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

Power and Associates’ 2025 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Infiniti vehicles are more reliable than Genesis With 5 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Infiniti higher than Genesis.

On the EPA test cycle the QX65 gets better mileage than the GV80 Coupe:

The QX65 has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Infiniti QX65, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the GV80 Coupe.

The QX65 has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The QX65 has a standard space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the GV80 Coupe; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

For better maneuverability, the QX65’s turning circle is .6 feet tighter than the GV80 Coupe’s (38.7 feet vs. 39.3 feet).

The Infiniti QX65 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 to 600 pounds less than the Genesis GV80 Coupe.

The QX65 has .4 inches more front headroom, 2.6 inches more front legroom, 1.7 inches more front hip room, .1 inches more front shoulder room, .7 inches more rear hip room and 1.9 inches more rear shoulder room than the GV80 Coupe.

The QX65 has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the GV80 Coupe with its rear seat up (35.8 vs. 29.3 cubic feet). The QX65 has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the GV80 Coupe with its rear seat folded (67.7 vs. 61.1 cubic feet).

Optional on the QX65 Sport/Autograph uses the Vehicle Dynamic Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Infiniti service is better than Genesis. J.D. Power ranks Infiniti 7th in service department satisfaction (above the industry average). With a 47% lower rating, Genesis is ranked 29th.

On a hot day the QX65’s driver can lower all the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the GV80 Coupe can’t use the remote to operate the windows.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the QX65 has a standard rear wiper. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer a rear wiper.
