Compare the2026 Rolls-Royce SpectreVS 2026 Audi e-tron GT

2026 Rolls-Royce Spectre
2026 Audi e-tron GT

Safety

The Spectre’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Spectre and the e-tron GT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre weighs 1306 to 1317 pounds more than the Audi e-tron GT. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

Warranty

The Spectre comes with a full 4-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The e-tron GT’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Rolls-Royce pays for scheduled maintenance on the Spectre for 1 year and unlimited miles longer than Audi pays for maintenance for the e-tron GT (4/unlimited vs. 3/30,000).

Engine

The Black Badge Spectre’s standard electric motors produces 55 lbs.-ft. more torque (792 vs. 737) than the RS e-tron GT performance’s standard electric motors.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the Spectre’s brake rotors are larger than those on the e-tron GT:

The Spectre stops much shorter than the e-tron GT:

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Spectre has larger front standard tires than the e-tron GT (F:255/45R22 & R:285/40R22 vs. F:245/45R20 & R:285/40R20).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Spectre has standard 22-inch wheels. Smaller 20-inch wheels are standard on the e-tron GT. The Spectre’s optional 23-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the e-tron GT.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires standard on the Spectre can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

Suspension and Handling

The Spectre has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Spectre’s wheelbase is 12.2 inches longer than on the e-tron GT (126.4 inches vs. 114.2 inches).

The Spectre handles at .93 G’s, while the S e-tron GT Prestige pulls only .92 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

Cargo Capacity

With its coupe body style and remote trunk release lockout, the Spectre offers cargo security. The e-tron GT’s non-lockable folding seat defeats cargo security.

Ergonomics

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the e-tron GT, the Spectre has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle, climate settings and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Spectre to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.
