Compare the2026 Porsche 911VS 2026 Ferrari F80

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The 911 (except Manual/GT3) offers an optional Maneuvering Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The F80 doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the 911 helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The F80 doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The 911 offers an optional Surround View to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The F80 only offers a rear monitor.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the 911’s optional Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The F80 doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The 911’s corrosion warranty is 9 years longer than the F80’s (12 vs. 3 years).

There are almost 5 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Ferrari dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the 911’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the 911 first among premium sporty cars in their 2025 Initial Quality Study. The F80 isn’t in the top three in its category.

The flat cylinder configuration of the boxer engine in the 911 lowers its center of gravity, enhancing handling stability. The F80 doesn’t offer a boxer engine configuration.

The 911 is 11.8 inches shorter than the F80, making the 911 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The front grille of the 911 uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The F80 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The 911 offers optional seating for 4 passengers; the F80 can only carry 2.

The 911 has 32 cubic feet more passenger volume than the F80 (73 vs. 41).

The 911 (except Manual/GT3)’s optional Active Parking Support can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Optional Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The F80 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.

The Porsche 911 comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Ferrari F80 isn’t available as a convertible.

The 911 is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The F80 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
