The GranTurismo has standard Rear Emergency Braking that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The M2 doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

The GranTurismo has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The M2 doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The GranTurismo Foglore can travel with zero emissions for 233 miles. The M2 can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the GranTurismo’s fuel efficiency. The M2 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The GranTurismo has 4.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the M2 (18.5 vs. 13.7 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Maserati GranTurismo comes standard with an automatic transmission, for driver comfort, especially in the city. Automatic costs extra on the M2.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the GranTurismo’s wheelbase is 7.2 inches longer than on the M2 (115.3 inches vs. 108.1 inches).

The GranTurismo’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The M2 has neither an oil pressure gauge nor a temperature gauge.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the GranTurismo to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The M2 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the GranTurismo has standard extendable sun visors. The M2 doesn’t offer extendable visors.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the GranTurismo keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The M2 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.
