Both the Supra and Charger offer rear cross-traffic warning, but the Supra Auto has Parking Support Brake (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The Charger’s Rear Cross Path Detection doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Supra and the Charger have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras, driver alert monitors, available blind spot warning systems and rear parking sensors.

Toyota pays for scheduled maintenance on the Supra for 2 years and 25000 miles. Toyota will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Dodge doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Charger.

The Supra offers a manual transmission for better acceleration, control and sportiness. The Charger doesn’t offer a manual transmission.

The Supra stops much shorter than the Charger:

The Supra’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Charger Scat Pack’s standard 40 series tires.

The Supra’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (51.5% to 48.5%) than the Charger’s (55.4% to 44.6%). This gives the Supra more stable handling and braking.

The Supra 3.0 Premium handles at 1.07 G’s, while the Charger Daytona Scat Pack Two-Door pulls only .86 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The Supra 3.0 Premium executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.1 seconds quicker than the Charger Daytona Scat Pack Two-Door (23.7 seconds @ .82 average G’s vs. 25.8 seconds @ .77 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Supra’s turning circle is 5.9 feet tighter than the Charger Six Pack’s (34.1 feet vs. 40 feet). The Supra’s turning circle is 7.4 feet tighter than the Charger Daytona’s (34.1 feet vs. 41.5 feet).

The Toyota Supra may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1450 to 2400 pounds less than the Dodge Charger.

The Supra is 2 feet, 10.1 inches shorter than the Charger, making the Supra easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Supra is 6.8 inches narrower than the Charger, making the Supra easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The Supra is 7.8 inches shorter in height than the Charger, making the Supra much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

If the windows are left open on the Supra the driver can close all of them at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Charger can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Supra’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Charger’s standard intermittent wipers change speed with vehicle speed, but can’t turn on and off or change speed based on changing rainfall.

The Supra’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Charger has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

Both the Toyota Supra and Dodge Charger offer exterior mirrors that can be folded to provide convenience. The Supra features standard power folding mirrors, which allow for easy, one-touch folding or unfolding at the driver’s discretion. This provides added convenience when maneuvering or parking, as well as when walking past the parked vehicle. In comparison, the Charger’s foldable mirrors are manual, requiring the driver to get out and physically fold them once parked and unfold them before getting in.
