The Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 383 lbs.-ft. more torque (1047 vs. 664) than the Mustang GTD’s 5.2 supercharged V8.

The Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance can travel with zero emissions for 11 miles. The Mustang GTD can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

Regenerative brakes improve the Mercedes AMG GT 43/63 S E’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Mercedes AMG GT has 2.5 gallons more fuel capacity than the Mustang GTD (18.5 vs. 16 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Mercedes AMG GT has a standard locking fuel door, which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The fuel filler door is not lockable on the Mustang GTD. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank.

When three different drivers share the Mercedes AMG GT, the memory system makes it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver and front passenger’s seat positions, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle, climate settings and radio stations. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer a memory system.

The Mercedes AMG GT offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

If the windows are left open on the Mercedes AMG GT the driver can close all of them at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the Mustang GTD can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

Heated windshield washer fluid is standard on the Mercedes AMG GT to defrost the washer nozzles and quickly clear ice and frost from the windshield without scraping. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer heated windshield washer fluid.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Mercedes AMG GT has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer cornering lights. Optional air-conditioned seats in the Mercedes AMG GT keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

The Mercedes AMG GT offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Mustang GTD.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Mercedes AMG GT offers an optional Active Distance Assist Distronic, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Mercedes AMG GT has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the front center console. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The Mercedes AMG GT’s Active Parking Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
