The MCPura offers optional Automated Emergency Braking, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Artura doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The MCPura’s blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Artura doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the MCPura’s standard Rear Cross Path uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Artura doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The MCPura has standard SOS and Assist Call, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Artura doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the MCPura and the Artura have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available around view monitors.

The MCPura comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Artura’s 45000-mile basic warranty expires 5000 miles sooner.

There are almost 4 times as many Maserati dealers as there are McLaren dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the MCPura’s warranty.

The MCPura’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 7 lbs.-ft. more torque (538 vs. 531) than the Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid. The MCPura GT2 Stradale’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 7 lbs.-ft. more torque (538 vs. 531) than the Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid.

The MCPura’s power window, power lock and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The Artura’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

The Maserati MCPura has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. McLaren charges extra for Homelink® on the Artura.

The MCPura is equipped with both FM and AM stereo radios, offering access to more content and better coverage than the Artura, which solely provides FM radio.
