The MCPura offers optional Automated Emergency Braking, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Daytona SP3 doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The MCPura offers an optional Surround View System to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Daytona SP3 only offers a rear monitor.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the MCPura’s standard Rear Cross Path uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The MCPura has standard SOS and Assist Call, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the MCPura and the Daytona SP3 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

The MCPura comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Daytona SP3’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The MCPura’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Daytona SP3’s (4 vs. 3 years).

There are over 2 times as many Maserati dealers as there are Ferrari dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the MCPura’s warranty.

The Daytona SP3’s redline is at 9500 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The MCPura has a 8000 RPM redline.

The battery on the MCPura is in the trunk, which protects it from hot underhood temperatures that can degrade battery life. By keeping the MCPura’s battery 20 to 30 degrees cooler, its life is increased by years. The Daytona SP3’s battery is in the hot engine compartment.

The MCPura’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 24 lbs.-ft. more torque (538 vs. 514) than the Daytona SP3’s 6.5 DOHC V12. The MCPura GT2 Stradale’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 24 lbs.-ft. more torque (538 vs. 514) than the Daytona SP3’s 6.5 DOHC V12.

On the EPA test cycle the MCPura 3.0 turbo V6 gets better fuel mileage than the Daytona SP3 (15 city/25 hwy vs. 12 city/16 hwy).

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Maserati MCPura higher (4 out of 10) than the Ferrari Daytona SP3 (2). This means the MCPura produces up to 15.6 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Daytona SP3 every 15,000 miles.

An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Maserati MCPura, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Daytona SP3.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the MCPura’s wheelbase is 1.9 inches longer than on the Daytona SP3 (106.3 inches vs. 104.4 inches).

The MCPura has 4 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Daytona SP3 (48 vs. 44).

The MCPura has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The MCPura’s front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Daytona SP3’s front passenger window doesn’t close automatically.

If the windows are left open on the MCPura the driver can close all of them from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the Daytona SP3 can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The MCPura’s standard Extended Keyless Go allow you to unlock the doors from either outside door handle and start the engine, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Keyless Start standard on the Daytona SP3 only offers hands-free access for the ignition, none to unlock the car.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the MCPura detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

Both the Maserati MCPura and Ferrari Daytona SP3 offer exterior mirrors that can be folded to provide convenience. The MCPura features standard power folding mirrors, which allow for easy, one-touch folding or unfolding at the driver’s discretion. This provides added convenience when maneuvering or parking, as well as when walking past the parked vehicle. In comparison, the Daytona SP3’s foldable mirrors are manual, requiring the driver to get out and physically fold them once parked and unfold them before getting in.

The MCPura has a standard center folding armrest for the driver and front passenger. A center armrest helps combat driver fatigue. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer a front seat center armrest.

The MCPura’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the MCPura has a standard Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Maserati MCPura has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the front center console. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The Maserati MCPura comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Ferrari Daytona SP3 isn’t available as a coupe.
