The MCPura offers optional Automated Emergency Braking, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Mistral doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The MCPura offers an optional Surround View System to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Mistral only offers a rear monitor.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the MCPura’s standard Rear Cross Path uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Mistral doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The MCPura has standard SOS and Assist Call, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Mistral doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the MCPura and the Mistral have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

There are almost 9 times as many Maserati dealers as there are Bugatti dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the MCPura’s warranty.

On the EPA test cycle the MCPura 3.0 turbo V6 gets better fuel mileage than the Mistral (15 city/25 hwy vs. 8 city/12 hwy).

The MCPura has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Mistral doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Maserati MCPura higher (4 out of 10) than the Bugatti Mistral (1). This means the MCPura produces up to 33.8 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Mistral every 15,000 miles.

An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Maserati MCPura, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Mistral.

For better maneuverability, the MCPura’s turning circle is 1.3 feet tighter than the Mistral’s (38.7 feet vs. 40 feet).

The MCPura is 7.7 inches narrower than the Mistral, making the MCPura easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The MCPura’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Mistral doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The MCPura has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Mistral doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The MCPura’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Mistral’s

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the MCPura detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Mistral doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

The MCPura’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The Mistral doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the MCPura has a standard Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Mistral doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

The MCPura’s standard steering wheel mounted cruise control is close at hand. The Mistral’s standard cruise control is on an over-crowded turn signal stalk.

Standard smartphone integration for the MCPura allows the driver and passengers access to select programs on their smartphones, including reading text messages aloud, playing internet radio stations and other connected activities without taking their eyes off the road or their hands from the wheel. The Mistral doesn’t offer factory integrated smartphone program access.

The Maserati MCPura comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Bugatti Mistral isn’t available as a coupe.
