Compare the2026 Maserati MCPuraVS 2026 Ferrari Roma

The MCPura has standard head airbag curtains which act as a forgiving barrier between the driver and outboard passenger's upper bodies and the window and pillars. Combined with high-strength steel door beams and lower side airbags this system increases head protection in broadside collisions. The Roma doesn't offer side airbag protection for the head.

The MCPura offers optional Automated Emergency Braking, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Roma doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The MCPura offers an optional Surround View System to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Roma only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

The MCPura’s blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Roma doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the MCPura’s standard Rear Cross Path uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Roma doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

Both the MCPura and the Roma have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

The MCPura comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Roma’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The MCPura’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Roma’s (4 vs. 3 years).

There are over 2 times as many Maserati dealers as there are Ferrari dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the MCPura’s warranty.

The MCPura’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 10 more horsepower (621 vs. 611) than the Roma’s 3.9 turbo V8. The MCPura GT2 Stradale’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 20 more horsepower (631 vs. 611) than the Roma’s 3.9 turbo V8.

On the EPA test cycle the MCPura 3.0 turbo V6 gets better fuel mileage than the Roma (15 city/25 hwy vs. 17 city/22 hwy).

For better traction and acceleration, the MCPura has larger rear tires than the Roma (305/30R20 vs. 285/35R20).

The MCPura’s 305/30R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Roma’s standard 35 series tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the MCPura’s wheelbase is 1.2 inches longer than on the Roma (106.3 inches vs. 105.1 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the MCPura is 1.2 inches wider in the front than on the Roma.

The Maserati MCPura may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 150 to 350 pounds less than the Ferrari Roma.
