Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance (up to 5 visits) on the Urus for 2 years and 45000 miles longer than Audi pays for maintenance for the SQ7 (5/75000 vs. 3/30,000).

The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 289 more horsepower (789 vs. 500) and 22 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 568) than the SQ7’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

On the EPA test cycle the Urus SE running on electricity gets better mileage than the SQ7 (46 city/50 hwy MPGe vs. 14 city/20 hwy).

The Urus has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The SQ7 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction and acceleration, the Urus has larger standard rear tires than the SQ7 (315/40R21 vs. 285/40R21). The Urus’ optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the SQ7 (325/30R23 vs. 285/40R21).

The Urus’ optional 325/30R23 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the SQ7’s optional 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Urus offers optional 23-inch wheels. The SQ7’s largest wheels are only 22-inches.

The Urus offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the SQ7; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Urus is 1.2 inches wider in the front and 1.8 inches wider in the rear than on the SQ7.

Standard on the Urus uses the Electronic Stability Program sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The SQ7 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The Urus’ instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The SQ7 does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The SQ7’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Urus’ standard adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.
