The Temerario has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Temerario offers an optional 360 degree parking monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Mustang GTD only offers a rear monitor and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the front or sides.

The Temerario’s optional blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Temerario’s optional Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

Both the Temerario and the Mustang GTD have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras and available crash mitigating brakes.

The Temerario comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Mustang GTD’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Temerario’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the Mustang GTD’s (12 vs. 5 years).

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Temerario for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Ford doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Mustang GTD.

The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 93 more horsepower (908 vs. 815) than the Mustang GTD’s 5.2 supercharged V8.

On the EPA test cycle the Temerario gets better fuel mileage than the Mustang GTD (14 city/19 hwy vs. 10 city/17 hwy).

Regenerative brakes improve the Temerario’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Temerario has 2 gallons more fuel capacity than the Mustang GTD (18 vs. 16 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Temerario has a standard locking fuel door with a power remote release convenient to the driver. The fuel filler door is not lockable on the Mustang GTD. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Lamborghini Temerario higher (5 out of 10) than the Ford Mustang GTD (4). This means the Temerario produces up to 5.2 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Mustang GTD every 15,000 miles.

All wheel drive, available in the Temerario, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Ford Mustang GTD is not available with all wheel drive.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Temerario has standard 21-inch rear wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the Mustang GTD.

The Lamborghini Temerario may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 600 pounds less than the Ford Mustang GTD.

The Temerario is 8.3 inches shorter than the Mustang GTD, making the Temerario easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Temerario is 8.2 inches shorter in height than the Mustang GTD, making the Temerario much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The Temerario offers optional heated front seats, which keep the driver and front passenger extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated seats aren’t available in the Mustang GTD.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the Temerario keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Temerario offers an optional Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.
