Compare the2026 Ferrari 12Cilindri VS 2025 Maserati MC20

The 12Cilindri’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The MC20 doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

Both the 12Cilindri and the MC20 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems and rearview cameras.

The 12Cilindri comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The MC20’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The 12Cilindri’s corrosion warranty is unlimited miles longer than the MC20’s (unlimited vs. 50,000 miles).

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the 12Cilindri for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Maserati doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the MC20.

The 12Cilindri’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 198 more horsepower (819 vs. 621) than the MC20’s standard 3.0 turbo V6. The 12Cilindri’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 188 more horsepower (819 vs. 631) than the MC20 GT2 Stradale’s standard 3.0 turbo V6.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the 12Cilindri’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The MC20 doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The 12Cilindri has 8.4 gallons more fuel capacity than the MC20 (24.3 vs. 15.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Ferrari 12Cilindri higher (5 out of 10) than the Maserati MC20 (4). This means the 12Cilindri produces up to 5.2 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the MC20 every 15,000 miles.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the 12Cilindri has standard 21-inch wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the MC20.

The 12Cilindri Coupe has a much larger trunk than the MC20 Coupe (9.5 vs. 5.3 cubic feet).

The 12Cilindri Spider has a much larger trunk with its top down than the MC20 Cielo (7.1 vs. 5.3 cubic feet).

The 12Cilindri’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The MC20 has neither an oil pressure gauge nor a temperature gauge.

The 12Cilindri’s standard Keyless Entry and Ignition allows you to unlock the doors from either outside door handle, open the trunk, and start the engine, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Extended Keyless Go standard on the MC20 doesn’t offer a sensor on the trunk.

The 12Cilindri’s optional sun-visors swivel front-to-side to block glare from the side windows. The MC20’s visors are fixed into the windshield header.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the 12Cilindri keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The MC20 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

The 12Cilindri has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the MC20.
