The Q4 e-tron’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The VF 8 doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Audi Q4 e-tron are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The VinFast VF 8 doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Both the Q4 e-tron and VF 8 have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Q4 e-tron has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The VF 8’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

Both the Q4 e-tron and VF 8 have rear cross-traffic warning, but the Q4 e-tron has Automatic Brake Activation (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The VF 8’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Q4 e-tron and the VF 8 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration does 35 MPH front crash tests on new vehicles. In this test, results indicate that the Audi Q4 e-tron is safer than the VinFast VF 8:

The Q4 e-tron’s corrosion warranty is 2 years and unlimited miles longer than the VF 8’s (12/unlimited vs. 10/125000).

Audi pays for scheduled maintenance on the Q4 e-tron for 3 years and 30,000 miles. Audi will pay for cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. VinFast doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the VF 8.

There are almost 9 times as many Audi dealers as there are VinFast dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Q4 e-tron’s warranty.

The Q4 45 e-tron’s standard electric motor produces 44 lbs.-ft. more torque (413 vs. 369) than the VF 8 Eco’s standard electric motors. The Q4 55 e-tron’s standard electric motors produces 79 lbs.-ft. more torque (536 vs. 457) than the VF 8 Plus’ standard electric motors.

For better traction, the Q4 e-tron has larger tires than the VF 8 (F:235/55R19 & R:255/50R19 vs. 225/55R19).

The Q4 e-tron’s standard 255/50R19 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the VF 8 Eco’s standard 55 series tires. The Q4 e-tron 55 e-tron’s optional 255/40R21 rear tires have a lower 40 series profile than the VF 8 Plus’ 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Q4 e-tron 55 e-tron offers optional 21-inch wheels. The VF 8’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.

For better maneuverability, the Q4 e-tron 45’s turning circle is 7.1 feet tighter than the VF 8’s (33.5 feet vs. 40.6 feet). The Q4 e-tron 55’s turning circle is 2.9 feet tighter than the VF 8’s (37.7 feet vs. 40.6 feet).

The Audi Q4 e-tron may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 700 to 750 pounds less than the VinFast VF 8.

The Q4 45 e-tron is 6.4 inches shorter than the VF 8, making the Q4 e-tron easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

For excellent aerodynamics, the Q4 e-tron has standard flush composite headlights. The VF 8 has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

The Q4 e-tron has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the VF 8 with its rear seat up (24.8 vs. 13.2 cubic feet). The Q4 e-tron has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the VF 8 with its rear seat folded (53.1 vs. 48.4 cubic feet).

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Q4 e-tron to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The VF 8 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Q4 e-tron Premium Plus offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The VF 8 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Q4 e-tron’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The VF 8’s power mirror controls are embedded in the infotainment system, seriously distracting drivers who have to adjust them while driving.

Compared to the VinFast VF 8, the Audi Q4 e-tron eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries with its optional integrated Homelink® universal remote controlled from the infotainment system.

The Q4 e-tron Premium Plus’ Park Assist Plus can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The VF 8 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.

The Q4 e-tron is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The VF 8 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
