To deliver safety and visibility under dusty conditions the Jaguar F-Pace’s backup monitor has a standard rear washer to keep the view clear. A camera washer system is only offered on some models of the Audi Q5.

Both the F-Pace and the Q5 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The F-Pace comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Q5’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 10,000 miles sooner.

Jaguar pays for scheduled maintenance on the F-Pace for 5 years and 60,000 miles. Jaguar will pay for oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Audi only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Q5.

To reliably start during all conditions and help handle large electrical loads, the F-Pace has a standard 800-amp battery. The Q5’s 420-amp battery isn’t as powerful.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Jaguar vehicles are better in initial quality than Audi vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Jaguar fourth in initial quality, above the industry average. With 94 more problems per 100 vehicles, Audi is ranked 30th, below the industry average.

The F-Pace has more powerful engines than the Q5:

The F-Pace has 7.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the Q5 Hybrid’s standard fuel tank (21.9 vs. 14.3 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups. The F-Pace has 3.4 gallons more fuel capacity than the Q5’s standard fuel tank (21.9 vs. 18.5 gallons).

An eight-speed automatic is standard on the Jaguar F-Pace, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Q5.

For better traction, the F-Pace has larger standard tires than the Q5 (255/55R19 vs. 235/60R18). The F-Pace SVR’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Q5 (F:265/45R21 & R:295/40R21 vs. 255/45R20).

The F-Pace’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 55 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Q5’s standard 60 series tires. The F-Pace SVR’s optional 295/35R22 rear tires have a lower 35 series profile than the Q5 Prestige’s optional 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F-Pace has standard 19-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the Q5. The F-Pace’s optional 22-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the Q5 Prestige.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires available on the F-Pace can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Q5 doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

The F-Pace offers an optional full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the Q5; it requires you to depend on a temporary spare, which has mileage and speed limitations, or roadside assistance and a tow-truck.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the F-Pace’s wheelbase is 2.1 inches longer than on the Q5 (113.1 inches vs. 111 inches).

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the F-Pace is 1.1 inches wider in the front and 1.9 inches wider in the rear than the track on the Q5.

The F-Pace SVR handles at .89 G’s, while the Q5 45 TFSI Premium Plus pulls only .81 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The F-Pace SVR executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.2 seconds quicker than the Q5 45 TFSI Prestige (25 seconds @ .77 average G’s vs. 27.2 seconds @ .65 average G’s).

For greater off-road capability the F-Pace has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Q5 55 TFSI e (8.4 vs. 8 inches), allowing the F-Pace to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The F-Pace SVR’s minimum ground clearance is .4 inch higher than on the Q5 45 TFSI (8.6 vs. 8.2 inches).

The F-Pace uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Q5 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

Standard Trailer Stability Assist on the F-Pace uses the Dynamic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Q5 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Unlike the driver-only memory system optional at extra cost in the Q5, the F-Pace offers an optional passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The F-Pace’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. An easy entry system costs extra on the Q5.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the F-Pace has a standard rear fixed intermittent wiper with a full on position. The rear wiper standard on the Q5 only has an intermittent setting, so in a hard rain visibility isn’t as good.

The Jaguar F-Pace has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors costs extra on the Q5.

Compared to traditional radio, the Jaguar F-Pace’s standard SiriusXM satellite radio provides an unmatched listening experience. Its extensive coverage guarantees consistent, crystal-clear reception across the continental U.S., and access to over 100 channels dedicated to a multitude of genres, including music, news, sports, talk shows, and comedy, many with only limited commercial breaks. Satellite radio costs extra on the Q5.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Jaguar F-Pace has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Wireless charging costs extra on the Q5.

The F-Pace’s Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Q5 Prestige’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the F-Pace third among compact premium suvs in owner reported satisfaction. This includes how well the vehicle performs and satisfies its owner’s expectations. The Q5 isn’t in the top three.
