Safety
Warranty
The Vanquish comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The M8’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
Engine
The Vanquish’s 5.2 turbo V12 produces 207 more horsepower (824 vs. 617) and 185 lbs.-ft. more torque (738 vs. 553) than the M8’s 4.4 turbo V8.
Fuel Economy and Range
The Vanquish has 1.5 gallons more fuel capacity than the M8 (21.6 vs. 20.1 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
Brakes and Stopping
For better stopping power the Vanquish’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the M8:

Tires and Wheels
For better traction and acceleration, the Vanquish has larger rear tires than the M8 (325/30R21 vs. 285/35R20).
The Vanquish’s 325/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the M8’s standard 35 series tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Vanquish has standard 21-inch wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the M8.
Suspension and Handling
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Vanquish’s wheelbase is 2.3 inches longer than on the M8 Coupe/Convertible (113.6 inches vs. 111.3 inches).
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Vanquish is 2.2 inches wider in the front and 1 inch wider in the rear than the average track on the M8.
The Vanquish’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (51% to 49%) than the M8’s (52.9% to 47.1%). This gives the Vanquish more stable handling and braking.
Chassis
The Vanquish uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The M8 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.
Ergonomics
Unlike the driver-only memory system in the M8, the Vanquish has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.
In case of a sudden change of weather, the Vanquish Convertible has a standard remote convertible top that can be raised from a distance to protect the interior of the vehicle from damage. On a hot day the Vanquish Convertible has a standard remote opening feature, to lower the top from outside. The M8 doesn’t offer a remote top, so the driver will have to run to the car, get in, turn the ignition on and raise the top to prevent the interior from being damaged.
