Safety
Warranty
The Vanquish comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The M4’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
Engine
The Vanquish’s 5.2 turbo V12 produces 351 more horsepower (824 vs. 473) and 332 lbs.-ft. more torque (738 vs. 406) than the M4’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. Tires and Wheels
For better traction and acceleration, the Vanquish has larger rear tires than the M4 (325/30R21 vs. 285/35R19).
The Vanquish’s 275/35R21 front and 325/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the M4’s standard 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Vanquish has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels are standard on the M4. The M4’s largest wheels are only 19-inches in the front and 20-inches in the rear.
Suspension and Handling
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Vanquish’s wheelbase is 1.1 inches longer than on the M4 (113.6 inches vs. 112.5 inches).
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Vanquish is 2.4 inches wider in the front and 2.6 inches wider in the rear than on the M4.
The Vanquish Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the M4 Coupe (23.3 seconds @ .94 average G’s vs. 23.7 seconds @ .9 average G’s).
Chassis
The Vanquish uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The M4 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.
Ergonomics
Unlike the driver-only memory system in the M4, the Vanquish has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.
