The Cayenne has standard Maneuver Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Eletre doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cayenne helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Eletre doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Cayenne and the Eletre have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Cayenne comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck. The Eletre’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

The Cayenne comes with free roadside assistance for 4 years 50,000 miles. Porsche will send help if you run out of gas, need a jump-start, lock your keys in or need any assistance on the road. Lotus doesn’t give free roadside assistance for the Eletre.

The Cayenne’s corrosion warranty is 4 years longer than the Eletre’s (12 vs. 8 years).

There are over 5 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Lotus dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Cayenne’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Cayenne second among upper midsize premium suvs in their 2024 Initial Quality Study. The Eletre isn’t in the top three in its category.

The Cayenne can travel with zero emissions for 24 to 29 miles (dependent on model). The Eletre can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

For more complete vehicle control the Cayenne has Tiptronic, with the available convenience of an automatic transmission and the complete gear control of a manual transmission without the inconvenience of a clutch. Tiptronic allows the driver to eliminate unwanted shifts and maximize engine braking by down shifting while cornering. The Eletre doesn’t offer a transmission that allows complete gear control.

An eight-speed automatic is standard on the Porsche Cayenne, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a 2-speed automatic is available for the Eletre.

The Cayenne Turbo has standard air brakes, which adjust the spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The Eletre doesn’t offer air brakes.

For better traction, the Cayenne’s optional front tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Eletre (F:285/45R21 & R:315/40R21 vs. F:275/35R23 & R:315/30R23).

The Cayenne Base/S has a standard space-saver spare (not available on E-Hybrid) so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Eletre; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.
