To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the GranTurismo Folgore. But it costs extra on the Mercedes AMG GT.
Both the GranTurismo Folgore and the Mercedes AMG GT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.
The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore weighs 639 pounds more than the Mercedes AMG GT. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.
