The GranTurismo Folgore’s electric motors produces 81 more horsepower (751 vs. 670) and 369 lbs.-ft. more torque (996 vs. 627) than the Charger Daytona Scat Pack Coupe’s standard electric motors.

The GranTurismo Folgore has a standard locking charge port with a power remote release convenient to the driver. The Charger doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

Tires and Wheels
For better traction, the GranTurismo Folgore has larger tires than the Charger (F:265/30R20 & R:295/30R21 vs. 245/55R18).
The GranTurismo Folgore’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Charger Daytona R/T Coupe’s standard 55 series tires. The GranTurismo Folgore’s tires are lower profile than the Charger Daytona Scat Pack Coupe’s 35 series tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the GranTurismo Folgore has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the Charger Daytona R/T Coupe. The Charger’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.
Suspension and Handling
The front and rear suspension of the GranTurismo Folgore uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Charger, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.
The GranTurismo Folgore has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The GranTurismo Folgore’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Charger doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
Chassis
The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 700 to 800 pounds less than the Dodge Charger.
The GranTurismo Folgore is 11.3 inches shorter than the Charger Daytona Scat Pack Coupe, making the GranTurismo Folgore easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
Cargo Capacity
To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the GranTurismo Folgore’s trunk can be opened and closed just by kicking your foot under the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The Charger doesn’t offer a hands-free gesture to open its liftgate, forcing you to put cargo down if your hands are full.
Ergonomics
Unlike the driver-only memory system optional at extra cost in the Charger, the GranTurismo Folgore has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle, climate settings and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.
To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the GranTurismo Folgore offers optional cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Charger doesn’t offer cornering lights. The GranTurismo Folgore also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.
The GranTurismo Folgore’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Charger has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.
Both the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore and Dodge Charger offer exterior mirrors that can be folded to provide convenience. The GranTurismo Folgore features standard power folding mirrors, which allow for easy, one-touch folding or unfolding at the driver’s discretion. This provides added convenience when maneuvering or parking, as well as when walking past the parked vehicle. In comparison, the Charger’s foldable mirrors are manual, requiring the driver to get out and physically fold them once parked and unfold them before getting in.
To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Wireless charging costs extra on the Charger.
