Compare the2025 Rolls-Royce PhantomVS 2024 Cadillac Celestiq

2025 Rolls-Royce Phantom
2024 Cadillac Celestiq

Safety

The Phantom’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Celestiq doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Phantom has standard PostCrash, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Celestiq doesn’t offer a post-collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Both the Phantom and the Celestiq have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

Warranty

The Phantom comes with a full 4-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Celestiq’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Rolls-Royce pays for scheduled maintenance on the Phantom for 4 years and unlimited miles. Rolls-Royce will pay for oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Cadillac only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Celestiq.

Engine

The Phantom’s 6.8 turbo V12 produces 24 lbs.-ft. more torque (664 vs. 640) than the Celestiq’s electric motors.

Fuel Economy and Range

The Phantom has a standard locking fuel door which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Celestiq doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank and a locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the Phantom’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Celestiq:

Phantom

Celestiq

Front Rotors

14.7 inches

13.5 inches

Rear Rotors

14.6 inches

13.6 inches

Suspension and Handling

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Phantom’s wheelbase is 9.6 inches longer than on the Celestiq (139.8 inches vs. 130.2 inches). The Phantom EWB’s wheelbase is 18.3 inches longer than on the Celestiq (148.5 inches vs. 130.2 inches).

Chassis

The Rolls-Royce Phantom may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 250 to 350 pounds less than the Cadillac Celestiq.

Passenger Space

The Phantom has standard seating for 5 passengers; the Celestiq can only carry 4.

The Phantom has .5 inches more front headroom and 4.8 inches more rear legroom than the Celestiq.

Cargo Capacity

With its sedan body style, valet key and remote trunk release lockout, the Phantom offers cargo security. The Celestiq’s hatchback body style defeats cargo security.

Ergonomics

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Phantom to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Celestiq doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

Laser headlights, standard on the Phantom, produce their light by firing blue lasers through phosphorus, a process that uses one-half the power of the Celestiq’s LED headlights. Laser headlights can have double the range of LEDs with a much smaller surface area.
