Safety
Warranty
The DBX comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck. The Eletre’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
The DBX comes with free roadside assistance for 3 years unlimited miles. Aston Martin will send help if you run out of gas, need a jump-start, lock your keys in or need any assistance on the road. Lotus doesn’t give free roadside assistance for the Eletre.
The DBX’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the Eletre’s (10 vs. 8 years).
Engine
The DBX’s 4.0 turbo V8 produces 94 more horsepower (697 vs. 603) and 141 lbs.-ft. more torque (664 vs. 523) than the Eletre’s standard electric motors.
Transmission
For more complete vehicle control the DBX has a manually controlled automatic, with the available convenience of an automatic transmission and the complete gear control of a manual transmission without the inconvenience of a clutch. A manually controlled automatic allows the driver to eliminate unwanted shifts and maximize engine braking by down shifting while cornering. The Eletre doesn’t offer a transmission that allows complete gear control.
A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Aston Martin DBX, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a 2-speed automatic is available for the Eletre.
Brakes and Stopping
For better stopping power the DBX’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the Eletre:

DBX |
Eletre |

16.5 inches |
16.2 inches |
Tires and Wheels
For better traction, the DBX has larger tires than the Eletre (F:285/40R22 & R:325/35R22 vs. F:275/35R23 & R:315/30R23).
The DBX has a standard space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Eletre; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.
Suspension and Handling
The DBX offers an available active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Lotus doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Eletre.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the DBX’s wheelbase is 1.6 inches longer than on the Eletre (120.5 inches vs. 118.9 inches).
For greater off-road capability the DBX has a 1.7 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Eletre (9.3 vs. 7.6 inches), allowing the DBX to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.
Chassis
The Aston Martin DBX may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 550 to 900 pounds less than the Lotus Eletre.
Towing
The DBX’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Eletre’s (5940 vs. 4960 pounds).
Standard Trailer Stability Control on the DBX uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Eletre doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.
Ergonomics
To better shield the driver and front passenger’s vision, the DBX has standard dual-element sun visors that can block glare from two directions simultaneously. The Eletre doesn’t offer secondary sun visors.
