The Macan Electric comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Prologue’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

The Macan Electric’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the Prologue’s (12 vs. 5 years).

The Macan Turbo Electric’s optional front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs on the Prologue are solid, not vented.

For better traction and acceleration, the Macan Electric has larger standard rear tires than the Prologue (285/45R20 vs. 255/60R19). The Macan Electric’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Prologue (295/40R21 vs. 275/45R21).

It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The Prologue’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Macan Electric has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. For greater off-road capability the Macan Turbo Electric has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Prologue (8.8 vs. 8.1 inches), allowing the Macan Electric to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Macan Electric is 3.7 inches shorter than the Prologue, making the Macan Electric easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The front grille of the Macan Electric uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Prologue doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Macan Electric’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Prologue’s (4409 vs. 1500 pounds).

Standard Trailer Stability Management on the Macan Electric uses the Porsche Stability Management sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Prologue doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The Macan Electric’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Prologue’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Macan Electric to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Prologue doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The Macan Electric’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Prologue offers an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

The Porsche Macan Electric has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are not standard on all versions of the Prologue.

Both the Macan Electric and the Prologue have standard heated front seats. The Macan Electric also offers optional heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated rear seats aren’t available in the Prologue.
