J.D. Power ranks Porsche above average in long-term dependability. With 15 more problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, Cadillac is rated below average.

Transmission
The Macan Electric’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Lyriq doesn’t offer launch control.

Tires and Wheels
For better traction and acceleration, the Macan Electric has larger standard rear tires than the Lyriq (285/45R20 vs. 265/50R20). The Macan Electric’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Lyriq (295/40R21 vs. 275/40R22).
The Macan Electric’s standard 285/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Lyriq’s standard 50 series tires. The Macan Electric’s optional 295/35R22 rear tires have a lower 35 series profile than the Lyriq’s optional 40 series tires.
Suspension and Handling
The front and rear suspension of the Macan Electric uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Lyriq, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.
The Macan Electric has a standard driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The Lyriq’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.
The Macan Electric has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Macan Electric’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Lyriq doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
For greater off-road capability the Macan Turbo Electric has a 1.8 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Lyriq (8.8 vs. 7 inches), allowing the Macan Electric to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Macan Electric’s minimum ground clearance is 1.9 inches higher than on the Lyriq (8.9 vs. 7 inches).
Chassis
The Porsche Macan Electric may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 450 to 600 pounds less than the Cadillac Lyriq.
The Macan Electric is 8.4 inches shorter than the Lyriq, making the Macan Electric easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
Cargo Capacity
A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the Macan Electric. The Lyriq doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.
Towing
The Macan Electric’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Lyriq’s (4409 vs. 0 pounds).
Servicing Ease
J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Porsche service is better than Cadillac. J.D. Power ranks Porsche second in service department satisfaction. With a 11% lower rating, Cadillac is ranked fifth.
Ergonomics
The Macan Electric offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, navigation instruction and driver assistance information readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Lyriq doesn’t offer a heads-up display.
Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Macan Electric to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Lyriq doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.
To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Macan Electric offers an optional rear wiper. The Lyriq doesn’t offer a rear wiper.
The Lyriq’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Macan Electric’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.
Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Macan Electric to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Lyriq doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.
