The Porsche Cayenne has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Urus doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Cayenne has a standard Multi-collision Brake System, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Urus doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Both the Cayenne and the Urus have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available night vision systems.

The Cayenne comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Urus’ 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

There are almost 5 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Lamborghini dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Cayenne’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Cayenne second among upper midsize premium suvs in their 2024 Initial Quality Study. The Urus isn’t in the top three in its category.

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 110 lbs.-ft. more torque (700 vs. 590) than the Urus SE’s optional 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

Regardless of its engine, regenerative brakes improve the Cayenne’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. Lamborghini only offers a regenerative brake system on the Urus SE.

The Cayenne’s standard fuel tank has 1.2 gallons more fuel capacity than the Urus (23.7 vs. 22.5 gallons).

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Porsche Cayenne higher (4 out of 10) than the Lamborghini Urus (2). This means the Cayenne produces up to 15.6 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Urus every 15,000 miles.

The Cayenne Turbo has standard air brakes, which adjust the spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The Urus doesn’t offer air brakes.
