Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The 911 (except Manual/GT3) offers an optional Maneuvering Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Temerario doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the 911 helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Temerario doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The 911’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Temerario doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the 911 and the Temerario have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The 911 comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Temerario’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

There are almost 5 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Lamborghini dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the 911’s warranty.

The Temerario’s redline is at 10,000 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The 911 has a 7200 to 9000 RPM redline.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the 911 second among premium sporty cars in their 2024 Initial Quality Study. The Temerario isn’t in the top three in its category.

The flat cylinder configuration of the boxer engine in the 911 lowers its center of gravity, enhancing handling stability. The Temerario doesn’t offer a boxer engine configuration.

For better traction, the 911 GT3 RS’ optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Temerario (F:275/30R20 & R:335/30R21 vs. F:255/35R20 & R:325/30R21).

The 911 GT3 RS’ optional tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Temerario’s 35 series front tires.

The Porsche 911 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 650 pounds less than the Lamborghini Temerario.

The 911 is 6.8 inches shorter than the Temerario, making the 911 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The front grille of the 911 uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Temerario doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The 911 offers optional seating for 4 passengers; the Temerario can only carry 2.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Porsche 911 has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the front center console. The Temerario doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The 911 (except Manual/GT3)’s optional Active Parking Support can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Optional Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Temerario doesn’t offer an automated parking system.

The Porsche 911 comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Lamborghini Temerario isn’t available as a convertible.

The 911 is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Temerario doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
