Both the eSprinter and the ProMaster EV have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available blind spot warning systems and driver alert monitors.

The Mercedes eSprinter weighs 1156 pounds more than the Ram ProMaster EV. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The eSprinter comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire van and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The ProMaster EV’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

Mercedes pays for scheduled maintenance on the eSprinter for 4 years and 100,000 miles. Mercedes will pay for tire rotations, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 4 visits). Ram doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the ProMaster EV.

The Mercedes eSprinter’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Ram ProMaster EV only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

The eSprinter has a standard full size spare so a flat doesn’t interrupt your work or a trip. A full size spare costs extra on the ProMaster EV. Without the option you must depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the eSprinter’s wheelbase is 11 inches longer than on the ProMaster EV (170 inches vs. 159 inches).

The eSprinter 144” WB offers optional seating for 6 passengers; the ProMaster EV can only carry up to 3.

The eSprinter 170” WB has a much larger cargo volume than the ProMaster EV 3500 LWB High Roof (488.1 vs. 420 cubic feet).

The eSprinter’s standard tilting steering column adjusts to different sized drivers and makes entering and exiting easier. Ram doesn’t offer tilt steering on the ProMaster EV.

When three different drivers share the eSprinter, the optional memory seats make it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver and front passenger’s seat positions. The ProMaster EV doesn’t offer memory seats.

The eSprinter’s front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The ProMaster EV’s power windows’ switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.

If the windows are left open on the eSprinter the driver can close them all from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the ProMaster EV can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The eSprinter’s optional power passenger’s side sliding door makes it much easier to load and unload kids and cargo. One touch opens the door, before you even get to the van. The ProMaster EV doesn’t offer a power rear door.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the eSprinter offers an optional rear wiper. The ProMaster EV doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

A built-in pollen filter removes pollen, exhaust fumes and other pollutants from the eSprinter’s passenger compartment. This helps prevent lung and/or sinus irritation that can trigger allergies or asthma. The ProMaster EV’s air conditioner doesn’t offer a filtration system.
