The Celestiq doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

The EQE Sedan’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Celestiq doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

The EQE Sedan has standard Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Celestiq doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the EQE Sedan and the Celestiq have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The EQE Sedan AMG offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Celestiq doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The EQE Sedan’s optional 285/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Celestiq’s optional 35 series tires.

The EQE Sedan has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The EQE Sedan’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Celestiq doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The EQE Sedan’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The Celestiq doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

The Mercedes EQE Sedan may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 450 to 700 pounds less than the Cadillac Celestiq.

The EQE Sedan is 1 foot, 8.3 inches shorter than the Celestiq, making the EQE Sedan easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Heated windshield washer fluid is optional on the EQE Sedan to defrost the washer nozzles and quickly clear ice and frost from the windshield without scraping. The Celestiq doesn’t offer heated windshield washer fluid.

The Mercedes EQE Sedan has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are not standard on all versions of the Celestiq.

The EQE Sedan is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Celestiq doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
