Compare the2024 Maserati GranCabrioVS 2025 Bentley Continental GT

The GranCabrio’s optional driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Continental GT doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the GranCabrio and the Continental GT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The GranCabrio comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Continental GT’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The GranCabrio’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Continental GT’s (4 vs. 3 years).

There are over 2 times as many Maserati dealers as there are Bentley dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the GranCabrio’s warranty.

The GranCabrio’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Continental GT’s 35 series front tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the GranCabrio’s wheelbase is 3.2 inches longer than on the Continental GTC (115.3 inches vs. 112.1 inches).

The Maserati GranCabrio may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1100 to 1500 pounds less than the Bentley Continental GT.

The front grille of the GranCabrio uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Continental GT doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

Because it has more passenger and cargo room, the EPA rates the GranCabrio a Subcompact car, while the Continental GT GTC is rated a Minicompact.

The GranCabrio has 12 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Continental GTC (89 vs. 77).

The GranCabrio’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Continental GT does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The GranCabrio’s cruise control switch is lit from behind, making it plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The Continental GT’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the GranCabrio to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Continental GT doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the GranCabrio has standard extendable sun visors. The Continental GT only offers a small additional center visor.

Both the GranCabrio and the Continental GT offer rear vents. For greater rear passenger comfort, the GranCabrio has standard rear air conditioning vents to keep rear occupants cool in summer or warm in winter. The Continental GT doesn’t offer rear air conditioning vents, only heat vents.

The Maserati GranCabrio has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the driver’s visor. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Bentley charges extra for Homelink® on the Continental GT.
