Compare the2025 Maserati Grecale VS 2025 Mazda CX-70

Both the Grecale and CX-70 have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Grecale has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The CX-70’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

Both the Grecale and the CX-70 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all-wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Grecale comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The CX-70’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

The battery on the Grecale is in the trunk, which protects it from hot under hood temperatures that can degrade battery life. By keeping the Grecale’s battery 20 to 30 degrees cooler, its life is increased by years. The CX-70’s battery is in the hot engine compartment.

The Grecale can travel with zero emissions on electricity, only, on a full charge for 206 to 245 miles. The CX-70 PHEV has to start its internal combustion engine after only 26 miles.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Grecale Trofeo’s fuel efficiency. The CX-70 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Grecale Trofeo’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The CX-70 doesn’t offer launch control.

For better stopping power the Grecale’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the CX-70:

The Grecale’s optional 255/40R21 front and 295/35R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the CX-70 Premium’s 45 series tires.

The Grecale offers an optional driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The CX-70’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Grecale has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Grecale’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The CX-70 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Maserati Grecale may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 750 pounds less than the Mazda CX-70.

The Grecale is 10 inches shorter than the CX-70, making the Grecale easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

A standard locking glovebox (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the Grecale. The CX-70 doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Grecale’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the CX-70’s (5071 vs. 3500 pounds). Maximum trailer towing in the Mazda CX-70 is only 5000 pounds. The Grecale offers up to a 5516 lbs. towing capacity.

The Grecale’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The CX-70 does not have an oil pressure gauge.

If the windows are left open on the Grecale the driver can close them all from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the CX-70 can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Grecale’s standard Extended Keyless Go allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the cargo door, and start the vehicle, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Advanced Keyless Entry and Start standard on the CX-70 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the Grecale to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The CX-70 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The Maserati Grecale has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are only offered on the CX-70 Premium Plus/Turbo S.

The Maserati Grecale has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the driver’s visor. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Homelink® is only available on the CX-70 Premium.

Satellite radio is only offered on the CX-70 Premium.
