The Grecale can travel with zero emissions for 206 to 245 miles (dependent on model). The XC40 can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Grecale Trofeo’s fuel efficiency. The XC40 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Grecale has 2.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the XC40 (16.9 vs. 14.2 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Grecale Trofeo’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The XC40 doesn’t offer launch control.

For better traction, the Grecale’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the XC40 (F:255/45R20 & R:295/40R20 vs. 245/45R20).

The Grecale’s optional 255/40R21 front and 295/35R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the XC40’s optional 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Grecale Foglore has standard 19-inch wheels. 20-inch wheels are standard on the Grecale 2.0. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the XC40. The Grecale’s optional 21-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels optional on the XC40.
