Compare the2025 Ferrari Roma VS 2025 Aston Martin DB12

The Roma has standard GPS Response System, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The DB12 doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Roma and the DB12 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding and front and rear parking sensors.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Roma for 7 years and unlimited miles. The Roma has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The DB12 doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Roma offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The DB12 doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

The Roma has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The DB12 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Roma is 1.3 inches wider in the rear than on the DB12.

For better maneuverability, the Roma’s turning circle is 3 feet tighter than the DB12’s (35.4 feet vs. 38.4 feet).

The Ferrari Roma may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 550 to 650 pounds less than the Aston Martin DB12.

The Roma’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The DB12 doesn’t offer folding rear seats.

The Roma’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The DB12 does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Roma’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The DB12’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

The Roma’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The DB12 has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.
