The 12Cilindri has standard crash mitigation brakes, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Chiron doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The 12Cilindri’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The Chiron doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The 12Cilindri has standard GPS Response System, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Chiron doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the 12Cilindri and the Chiron have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding and daytime running lights.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the 12Cilindri’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Chiron doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Ferrari 12Cilindri, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Chiron.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the 12Cilindri has standard 21-inch wheels. Only 20-inch front wheels are available on the Chiron.

The 12Cilindri’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (48.4% to 51.6%) than the Chiron’s (43% to 57%). This gives the 12Cilindri more stable handling and braking.

For better maneuverability, the 12Cilindri’s turning circle is 10.7 feet tighter than the Chiron’s (39.1 feet vs. 49.8 feet).

The Ferrari 12Cilindri may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 300 to 500 pounds less than the Bugatti Chiron.

The 12Cilindri’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Chiron doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The 12Cilindri Coupe has a much larger trunk than the Chiron (9.5 vs. 2 cubic feet).

The 12Cilindri’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Chiron’s

Optional air-conditioned seats in the 12Cilindri keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The Chiron doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

The 12Cilindri has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Chiron.

The 12Cilindri’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The Chiron doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the 12Cilindri has a standard adaptive cruise control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Chiron doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

The 12Cilindri’s standard steering wheel mounted cruise control is close at hand. The Chiron’s standard cruise control is on an over-crowded turn signal stalk.

Standard smartphone integration for the 12Cilindri allows the driver and passengers access to select programs on their smartphones, including reading text messages aloud, playing internet radio stations and other connected activities without taking their eyes off the road or their hands from the wheel. The Chiron doesn’t offer factory integrated smartphone program access.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Bugatti Chiron isn’t available as a convertible.
