Both the 12Cilindri and the DB12 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and lane departure warning systems.

Safety
Warranty
Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the 12Cilindri for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Aston Martin doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the DB12.
Engine
The 12Cilindri’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 149 more horsepower (819 vs. 670) than the DB12’s 4.0 turbo V8.
Fuel Economy and Range
The 12Cilindri has 3.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the DB12 (24.3 vs. 20.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
Transmission
The 12Cilindri offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The DB12 doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.
Brakes and Stopping
The 12Cilindri has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The DB12 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.
Tires and Wheels
For better traction and acceleration, the 12Cilindri has larger rear tires than the DB12 (315/35R21 vs. 305/30R21).
Chassis
The 12Cilindri’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The DB12 doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.
Ergonomics
The 12Cilindri’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The DB12 does not have an oil pressure gauge.
The 12Cilindri’s optional sun-visors swivel front-to-side to block glare from the side windows. The DB12’s visors are fixed into the windshield header.
The 12Cilindri has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the DB12.
