The LC has standard Secondary Collision Brake, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Charger doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Lexus’ powertrain warranty covers the LC 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Dodge covers the Charger. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the Charger ends after only 5 years or 60,000 miles.

The LC’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Charger’s (6 vs. 5 years).

J.D. Power and Associates rated the LC first among compact premium sporty cars in their 2024 Initial Quality Study. The Charger isn’t in the top three in its category.

The LC has a standard locking fuel door with a power remote release convenient to the driver. The Charger doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank and a locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

For better stopping power the LC’s standard brake rotors are larger than those on the Charger:

For better traction and acceleration, the LC has larger rear tires than the Charger (275/40R20 vs. 245/55R18).

The LC’s standard 245/45R20 front and 275/40R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series front and 40 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Charger’s standard 55 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the LC has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the Charger. The LC’s optional 21-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels optional on the Charger.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the LC can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Charger doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For better maneuverability, the LC Active Rear Steering’s turning circle is 5.2 feet tighter than the Charger Coupe’s (34.8 feet vs. 40 feet). The LC’s turning circle is 4.6 feet tighter than the Charger Coupe’s (35.4 feet vs. 40 feet).

The Lexus LC may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1300 to 1500 pounds less than the Dodge Charger.

The LC is 1 foot, 7.1 inches shorter than the Charger Daytona Scat Pack Coupe, making the LC easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The LC Convertible uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Charger doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

With its coupe body style, valet key and remote trunk release lockout, the LC offers cargo security. The Charger’s hatchback body style and non-lockable folding seat defeat cargo security.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Lexus service is better than Dodge. J.D. Power ranks Lexus first in service department satisfaction. With a 64% lower rating, Dodge is ranked 27th.

The LC’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. An easy entry system costs extra on the Charger.

The LC’s standard power windows have a locking feature to keep children from operating them, but the driver can still raise and lower both of them with the lock engaged. Dodge does not offer a locking feature on the Charger’s standard power windows.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the LC has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Charger doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The Lexus LC has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are offered on the Charger.

The Lexus LC comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Dodge Charger isn’t available as a convertible.
